Aosom Elite 2 With Removable Cargo Trailer Cover – 2017 Review

Aosom Elite II with cargo trailer cover – 2017 model year review…

Cycling is a great way to get about town and stay in shape as you go, but it does have certain limitations.

For example, let’s say you want to go on a family bike ride to the park so that you can have a picnic, where do you put all of your food and accessories?

Trying to balance items on the handle bars while you ride is dangerous, but it is now possible to pack up your gear and go, thanks to the Aosom Elite II bike luggage trailer with removable cover.

This great little gizmo connects to the back of your bike and essentially becomes like a car trunk, holding all the items that you need for your ride.

Aosom Elite II review

If you regularly run errands on your bike, or like to take to the trails, the Elite II bike cargo trailer is a must have piece of equipment.

This is a durable bicycle trailer that has specially strengthened solid steel base that can support up to 180lbs of cargo.

That’s an awful strong piece of equipment, but one that is surprisingly lightweight at just 39lbs.

The trailer is also easy to store as the frame can be folded down so that it can be placed in the garage without taking up a whole lot of space.

The bicycle connector is included in the package, and the unit also comes with quick release wheels and a removable cover that can be washed.

Cargo dimensions

Best Bicycle Cargo TrailerIf you have never had a bicycle trailer in the past, you are probably wondering what all the fuss is about.

Think back to what we discussed at the start of this review, and consider how many times you have had to leave things behind when you are out on your bike.

How many times have you been forced to take the car when you would have rather gone cycling?

The Aosom Elite II is a 54-inch long storage space with dimensions that clock in at 31″ long x 24″ wide x 14″ high.

There is plenty of space inside to hold and organize all of your bike essentials.

The Aosom Elite 2 not only provides you with cargo space, it protects your stuff from the elements, as well as from those who might want to get a little nosy with an eye to stealing.

Keep in mind, though, that while the enclosed cover does offer a great level 0f protection, it is not entirely waterproof, which is something that you need to keep in mind when packing up your gear.

An alternative here is to place your more sensitive items in dry bags inside the container. This is a great idea if you are hitting the wilderness trails on a camping trip. editor note

This is an incredibly durable bicycle trailer for cargo that holds a whole lot more luggage than you might ever have imagined.

With the Aosom Elite II bike trailer you can take your biking trips to the next level!

  1. David Harriman says

I use a canvas-sided trailer very similar to the Aosom Elite ll (mine is an Avenir Mule), which is excellent, light, and easy to use. The main negative point is that if the load shifts sideways on a journey, it pushes the canvas-sides outwards and rubs them against the wheels, which can make a hole if not corrected promptly.
One remedy to prevent this is to put a tough plastic storage-type tub in the trailer, and put the cargo inside that; But what I am going to do when I get the time and find the right stuff, is to pop-rivet a flat piece of metal to the inside of both sides of the trailer at wheel-height as a brace. It needs to be flat so that the trailer will still fold properly, and 1½” – 2″ wide so that it is strong enough to do the job.
